Find a job and apply
Search, save and apply in the Nchito app, and how each job takes applications.
The Nchito app is on its way. These guides describe it as it will work at launch.
Every job on Nchito, from the Nchito team, verified employers and other Zambian job sites, is in one list in the Nchito app. This guide walks you from your first search to a sent application.
Search and save
- Open the Nchito app and type a job title, a skill or a town in the search box. You can narrow the list by location and category.
- Open a job to read the full listing: the employer, the location, the salary when the employer gives one and the closing date.
- Save the jobs you like. You do not need an account to save jobs or keep your recent searches. They stay on your phone and move to your account when you sign in.
Know where a job comes from
Each listing shows who posted it:
- Nchito jobs are posted by the Nchito team.
- Verified employer jobs come from companies Nchito has checked before they could publish.
- External jobs were posted on another Zambian job site. Nchito shows a copy so you can compare jobs in one place, and credits the site that posted it.
Apply the way the job asks
Not every job takes applications the same way. The job page tells you which one applies:
- Easy apply. Send your saved resume, with a short cover note if you like, without leaving the app. You need an account and a resume uploaded first.
- Apply on the employer's site. The button opens the employer's own page, or the original listing for an external job. You apply there.
- Apply by email. The button opens your email app with the employer's address filled in. Attach your CV and say which job you are applying for.
Before you send
- Run the CV check and fix anything marked critical.
- Read the whole listing, including what the employer asks you to include.
- Note the closing date. Jobs close automatically when it passes.
After you apply with easy apply, follow the application in the app. See Track your applications.
