Let employers find you

Make your profile visible, and how employers contact you without seeing your details.

The Nchito app is on its way. These guides describe it as it will work at launch.

Besides applying to jobs, you can let employers come to you. Your talent profile is a short public summary that verified employers on Nchito can search.

Set up your profile

  1. In the Nchito app, open your profile and switch on Visible to employers.
  2. Write a headline: the job you want or do, in a few words, for example Qualified electrician, industrial wiring.
  3. Add a short about text: your experience, the work you are looking for and where you can work.
  4. List your skills. Employers search by skill, and those matching one of their jobs see your profile first.
  5. Optionally add when you are available and an hourly rate.

You can hide your profile again at any time. A hidden profile does not appear in any search.

What employers see

Employers see your name, headline, about text, skills, availability and rate. They do not see your email address or phone number.

How employers contact you

When a verified employer wants to reach you, they write a message in Nchito. We email it to you with the employer's name, company and email address. Your own details stay private until you choose to reply.

  • Only verified companies can send messages.
  • Each employer can send a limited number of messages a day.
  • If a message looks wrong, for example it asks you for money, do not reply. See Stay safe from job scams.

Profile views

Each time an employer opens your profile it is counted. The Applications screen shows how many different employers looked at your profile this week.
