Post a job
Write a listing people can act on, choose how they apply and publish it.
A clear listing gets more of the right applicants. In the employer portal, open Jobs and choose New job. A live preview beside the form shows the job as people will see it.
Fill in the basics
- Job title. The title people search for, for example Finance Officer, not an internal grade.
- Location. The town where the work is, or say if it is remote.
- Category and job type (for example full time or contract) help people filter.
- Salary (optional). A range in kwacha, or another currency if you pay in one. Listings with a salary are easier to judge.
- Closing date (optional). The job closes automatically after this day.
Write the description
The description supports simple formatting: **bold**, *italic*, # for a heading, - for a bullet list, 1. for a numbered list and [text](https://link) for links. Images and raw HTML are not allowed.
A good description answers, in this order:
- What the person will do, day to day.
- What they need: qualifications, experience, licences.
- What you offer and where the work is.
- How and by when to apply.
Add the skills
List up to 20 skills, separated by commas, for example Excel, Pastel, Class C driving licence. Nchito recommends the job to job seekers whose CVs show those skills. Leave the field empty and the skills are picked from the description.
Choose how people apply
- Easy apply. Applicants send their saved resume from the app, and you review them in the portal under Applicants.
- Link. Applicants go to your own careers page.
- Email. Applicants write to the address you give.
Save or publish
Save a draft at any time. Publish puts the job live in the app; it is available once your company is verified. You can unpublish or close a job later from the Jobs list.
Featured listings are marked Featured in the app and are arranged with the Nchito team: get in touch through the contact page.
